Syllable “KA”
1.Oh Bala, child goddess of the Kaliyuga, as important as the pupil is to the eye, you are so very dear to me.
2. You bless us with a life, more enjoyable than the sweetness of sugar cane.
3. In your gaze, all worries fly away.
4. Goddess of protection, throughout our lives you safeguard us!
5.Like a magnet, you attract me and envelop me in your embrace.
6. Opening the door to our hearts, you come in to reside there.
7. You are the source of all art, Bala!
8. Poetry springs forth with your grace.
9. Sea of compassion, ocean of kindness.
10. You are the very essence, the Vedantic truth of the Bhagavad Geetha.
11. You enjoy early morning worship.
12. You give energy and power to the rising sun.
13. You have the power to tug at the reins held by the God of death. (You are capable of defying death to protect your devotees).
14. Without causing too much suffering, you protect our mortal bodies.
15. With true love, you have enthralled and captured our hearts.
16. Even the best poets can never fully describe your beauty, with mere words.
17. Divine child who holds a parrot in one of your hands.
18. You shower so much fame and praise on your devotees.
19. You rule the movements of the celestial planets that affect our lives.
20. You love auspicious weekday, Friday, and come seeking us in our homes on that day!

Syllable “EA“
1. Show me within You, Oh Divine Bala,
2. Never forsake me, not even in seven births!
3. You give us many a lift and improvement in our lives.
4. You eradicate the dreadful sorrow of poverty from our lives.
5. There is only ONE; this oneness between us, you help us understand clearly.
6. Holding our hands, you make us ascend the ladder of spirituality.
7. Even when we are overwhelmed by unacceptable sorrowful events,
8. Always, you will protect us.
9.You remove from our lives, those people who mock us and find fault.
10. You give us confidence and strength to move on in life.
11. We have already travelled on the path shown by you
12. We have accepted you, so fully and wholeheartedly.
13. When we ask, “Why should I be faced with so much sorrow”?

1. You are an incomparable beauty, Sri Bala.

4. Divine, small child, there is indeed none to equal you.
5. You are the power behind the actions of Lord Shiva.
6. With great involvement, we worship you.
7. You reveal to us the importance of true commitment towards you.
8. As we continue to truly get involved in worshipping and loving you, all our sins melt away.
9. Goddess of this world, do I have any other succor any other goal, apart from you?
10. Your mantra is made up of 16 syllables or letters. (two times eight).
11. These syllables have been split by you in several ways.
12. There is nothing (no other sloka) to equal the power of this Trisathi.
13. As we continue to sing this work, we get more and more captivated and enslaved by you.
14. My eyes swell with the pearly drops of shining tears when I read this work.
15. Just like fireflies, get attracted to the source of light and perish in the flames,
16. Please charm and enthrall us and make us merge into oneness with you.
17. Honesty is like the very sharp point of a spear, and with this same single pointed conviction,
18. We surrender unconditionally at your feet, Oh dear Goddess.
19. Even if I pray to you, without having firm conviction or involvement, you will still embrace and accept us!
20. You are not an object to be attained. You are Me; I am You, is the truth you have made us realize, my sweet teacher, my Guru!

1. Arisen from Divine Mother, Lalitha, Oh blessed child Bala
2. Bursting with shining exquisiteness, Divine Child.
3. Favorite wealth of Goddess Lakshmi, dear Bala.
4. You are the revered Guru who helps us understand the real purpose or goals of life.
5. You are that eternal truth that lakhs and lakhs of people search for,
6. You are the most precious, one in a lakh discovery in our lives.
7. You are the righteous fire that burnt the Kingdom of Sri Lanka.
8. You are the Goddess Durga, who blessed the monkey God Hanuman in his quest for Sita.
9. You come to reside in those hearts and minds that are blemish less.
10. You are fond of those who have gone within to discover their true nature.
11. You have the power to make us materially wealthy, Oh gracious mother.
12. You are the serpent power within us, as the Kundalini shakthi, which can be activated through laya yoga, the process of merging individual self with supreme consciousness.
13. You reside in the middle of our foreheads as the supreme power of the third eye.
14. You bless us all with the power of your long, lustrous and beautiful eyes.
15. You guide everyone towards the goal of self-realization.
16. Most beautiful lady of the three worlds, the power of Lord shiva who, as Tripurantaka, destroyed the citadel of the demons.
17. Oh lovely one, who is pleasing to all in the form of Goddess Abirami.
18. You remove all the negative traits like greed, jealousy, hatred, anger, etc.
19. As the fearsome Goddess Varahi, you hand out punishments to those who cheat and are dishonest for personal gains.
20. You are the ruler of the lagnam, the position of planets in the birth chart; you are the root cause for the existence of the planetary system.

Syllable: “HREEM“
1. Oh Bala, our protectress, giver of wisdom in the aspect of Hamsa (swan).
2. The one who lives as Shakthi in the snow-capped Himalayas, the daughter of the mountain king, Himavan.
3. The root cause of creation, the inseparable half of Lord Shiva.
4. As the spark of wisdom, you reside eternally in our hearts.
5. One who loves horses, who is the power of Devi Ashwaroodaa (shakthi form mounted on a horse), as well as the energy form of her mount, Aparaajita (invincible).
6. One who is ever happy, who is loved by Lord Shiva or Haran.
7. Oh Devi who protected her husband, Lord Shiva after he consumed the poison “Haalaahalam”.
8. Goddess who is fond of golden-yellow colored rice
9. Divine Child who protects us as well as satisfies our desires through her boon giving and wish fulfilling hand gestures.
10. As Goddess, Haakini, she rules over the Ajna chakra located in the middle of the forehead.
11. Goddess who dazzles, adorned by beautiful, sparkling necklaces.
12. One who loves humor and witty stories and poetry.
13. Goddess who performs actions that focus on our welfare.
14. In her aspect as Harasi, or remover of all sorrow, she wipes away our grief and troubles.
15. Goddess who uses her power of destruction and annihilates all evil forces.

19. Goddess who is in the form of the “golden womb”, the single and only source of the cosmos.

1. Oh Bala, you are that Parama Hamsa, a great teacher who reveals wisdom, discrimination and detachment from worldly goals.
2. One who loves the classical raga, Hamsadhvani (cry of the swan).
3. You are the symbol of energy, creativity and friendliness. Oh Goddess Saraswathi, astride the beautiful peacock, holding the veena in her hands!
4. Oh most beautiful and wise goddess, the power of Lord Skanda.
5. One who rides the swan, the energy source of Lord Brahma.
6. Oh Goddess Saraswathi, beautiful goddess, expert in the veena (all aspects of music)
7. Goddess who enjoys the raga Hamsanandhi, who is the power behind the thoughts of Lord Shiva.
8. One who is a part of Lord Shiva, and the effulgence of the full moon.
9. Goddess who is in the form of the sweet-smelling, yellow sandalwood, adorning Lord Vishnu. Veritably, she is the power and grace of Maha Lakshmi.
10. One who has the divine vision of Lord Vishnu, one who is most precious to Lord Hari.
11. One who is the substratum, giving rise to the trinity of Lord Hari, Shiva and Brahma.
12. You are the holy offering to Lord Vishnu. You are his mental powers too. (You are the all-pervading Universal power expressing itself in many names and forms of deities).
13. You are the tender, flowering creeper, the symbol of gentleness and compassion.
14. You give us the wealth of Lord Vishnu, good fortune and prosperity.
15. You are the ruler of the night; you provide the energy for medicinal plants to grow and flourish.
16. As “Shree”, the vigor of Lord Vishnu, you give us all material wealth.
17. You are an expert in the yoga of “force” (skilled in hatha yoga asanas).
18. You are the equanimity, the equilibrium between extreme happiness and sorrow.
19. You love the offerings given during yagnas or worship using fire.
20. Please protect this world from undue pain, suffering or damage.

1. Oh ruler of all the worlds, Bala,
2. You have the effulgence of a thousand rays of the sun.
3. Oh goddess who eternally resides in the lotus center of our hearts.
4. Your seed syllable “Soum” has the power of Goddess, Saraswathi.
5. Lord Shiva provides the plank upon which you are seated.
6. Most beloved of Lord Shiva, one who has occupied one half of Lord Shiva’s body.
7. Let us always meditate on you.
8. Please stay with me constantly and safeguard me.
9. You are the embodiment of all fine arts.
10. You are Goddess Karumari, who resides in Samayapuram as the primordial Shakthi.
11. You are the radiance of Lord Skandha; you are the kind mother who gave Lord Muruga his power, the divine spear.

20. As the child-spirit, Kundalini, you surge as a great, unstoppable force through our energy centers and unite us with you at the crown chakra!

1. Oh Bala, you are veritably Goddess Vara Mahalakshmi, seated in the divine casket or Kalasam.
2. With great tenderness and care, you remove all our worries and problems.
3. You sit firmly in those whose hearts are without fraud or treachery.
4. You are the great Goddess, Mahaa Kaali, wearing a garland of skulls.
5. Please show us your affection, Sri Bala,
6. You are our destiny and our intelligence!
7. Oh Divine child who is all pervading in this creation.
8. Bestow upon us your side-long glance and protect us!
9. Oh child who speaks sweet words, you are bursting with the beauty of youth.
10. Can even the sweetness of rock-candy be compared with the charm of your speech?
11. Oh beautiful maiden, one who rules us, you are the creator of Lord Ganapathi.
12. Cast your gaze upon us albeit for a second!
13. Oh goddess who is a maiden, ruler of all the Shakthi goddesses.
14. With heartfelt devotion, tears melting in my eyes, I worship you.
15. With almost a haughty dignity, you stand on the banks of River Ganges, dazzling like the nine precious gemstones.
16. At the end of our lives, you will take us to your abode.
17. Oh sweet teacher, my Guru, you placed me in contact with many learned and wise people.
18. You made me write this work, in the twinkling of an eye!
19.He who sees the Truth, never speaks about his experience. You revealed the meaning of this message to me, my dear Guru!
20. Whatever one learns, is about to learn, and the very learner himself is none other than Me, you said this Bala!

Syllable “HA”
1. You gave me divine advice in my dream, saying “Hari Chor”, stealing my heart away completely!
2. You are the sister of Lord Balarama.
3. You are the strength and intellect of the monkey- God, Lord Hanuman.
4. You gave the power to the nama “Hari”.
5. You are the Goddess Durga who helped “Hrisheekeshan”, Lord Krishna, the controller of all five senses.
6. You caused the descent of the Vishnu avatar, Varaha, who slew the demon, Hiranyakksha and lifted up the earth that had been submerged in water.
7. You graced and blessed the horse-faced Lord, Hayagreevar, an aspect of Lord Vishnu, with knowledge and wisdom.
8. With the syllable, “Hreem”, you created the entire world in your aspect as Goddess Bhuvaneshwari or ruler of the Earth.
9. You enjoy playing mischievous tricks and delight in this action.
10. You made us all happy by giving us the seed syllables, “Haa, Haa, Hoo, Hoo”.

2. Who created Lord Shiva with the sound of the Conch.
3. Oh Divine, young girl called “vaalai” by the mystics or siddhars. One who rules over the six energy chakras in our bodies.
4. You are that wondrous power that quells and destroys all enemies.
5. You are the epitome of compassion, granting us peace and tranquility in our lives.
6. You are the ultimate refuge of those who surrender at your feet.
7. You are the light of the moon, the splendor of the Sun.
8. As Goddess Shaakini, you reside in the throat chakra, governing speech.
9. Oh mistress of Lord Shiva, one who teaches us the power of the Shambavi mudra, a technique of meditation, at the eyebrow center that enables the practitioner to still the mind and experience higher planes of consciousness.
10. Oh Goddess of wisdom, Sharadha, ever eternal Devi.
11. Goddess who is the root cause for the existence Of Vedic doctrines or sacred books of Hindu philosophy.
12. You are the energy spark in the spear carried by Lord Muruga, seated on the divine peacock.

4. Goddess, who removes all impurities and sins and reveals wisdom.
5. Even for those who remain ignorant, you always protect and safeguard them.
6. Please bestow upon us good qualities and educate us to lead a virtuous life.
7. Oh Bala, please eradicate all complications, sorrows and worries.
8. Please grace us with a treasure house of good value.
9. May we receive heaps of fame through your blessings; may our smiles reflect your boons!
10. WE fold our hands in reverence to you. We are surrendered at your holy feet.
11 Oh Bala, you are both the questions arising within us as well as the answers we hear in our minds, when are aligned with you, with total awareness, body and soul!
12. Tightly, do we grasp your most divine feet.
13. We beg you, Oh Bala, you are our only support.
14. Please lend your ear to our pleadings, our many desires.
15. There are no evil people, in your presence.
16. Oh Divine child, you grant us boons even before we can articulate our problems.
17. When you are constantly with us, it doesn’t matter if a particular day or a particular planetary influence on that day is good or bad. You are there to protect us.

2. Goddess who is inherently the form of luminescence.
3. Through her powers of skill and dexterity, she revives and breathes life into all living beings.
4.Oh Bala, you will never sit in the hearts of those who approach you with selfish gains as their goal.
5. Oh Goddess who plays many tricks and instills pure faith and devotion.
6. One who is worshipped in all the three worlds of earth, heaven and hell.
7. Oh Goddess who blesses everybody in the universe.
8. Goddess who is established as the supreme empress of the world.
9. One who presides over the functioning of all the nine planets.
10. Oh Bala, you are the source of sound and rhythm.
11. Oh Goddess of illusion, playful aspect of Goddess Durga.
12. As Lepakshi, you sport the beautiful, yet sharp eyes of the peacock.
13. Oh Goddess, you are that intrinsic sense that powers vision. You are the light within the organ of the eyes.
14. Oh Goddess who is as beautiful as a tender creeper or vine.
15. One with beautiful eyes, one who is the mother of all living beings, Goddess who reigns supreme, most beautiful and attractive maiden.
16. Goddess who is loved by all, eternal source for the creation of the Universe.
17. You are the primordial Mother, and the greatest sovereign ruler,
18. Oh Goddess with restless eyes, you are the consort and energy form of Lord Ganapathi.

20. Oh dear Goddess Bala, you are the great, Maha Shodashi Devi, worshipped in Sri Vidhya puja by the great sage Agasthiyar and his consort, Lopamudra.
Section 15.
Syllable “ HREEM”
1. Oh Goddess of beauty, radiance of a thousand suns!
2. You are the terror-inspiring energy of Lord Bhairav (Shiva), as Bhagamaalini, you stop enemies in their tracks and teach us the value of good speech. You are the presiding deity of the full moon in the auspicious month of Vaishaka. ( April/May).
3. Oh Goddess who is the most strong and powerful, divine child, one who loves garlands made with the white, star -shaped, sweet smelling bakula flowers, that herald the advent of spring.
4. Oh Goddess, beautiful daughter of the Sun. Most auspicious one that blesses us with prosperity. Goddess who contains within her the seed potential to create Lord Brahma (creation).
5. Goddess who is the expert in Brahma Sutras. These sutras are concise aphorisms or dictums, giving the essence of ancient texts which synthesizes and harmonizes Upanishadic ideas. The entire object of Brahma sutras is to remove the erroneous identification of the Soul or Atma with the body, which is the root cause for all our sufferings in the world.
6. Oh Goddess who imparts the Upanishadic teaching of ‘I am that Atma or Brahman”.
7. Goddess who loves learned and wise souls.
8. Divine child Goddess who reveals compassion to all her faithful devotees.
9. As Goddess Bhavani, you are the giver of life, dispenser of justice. Oh Goddess, you provide us with the boat to safely cross this ocean of samsara beset with problems.

11. Oh Goddess who is the energy and glow of the sun. As Goddess Baneshwari, you bestow a happy married life.
12. Oh dear Bala, child goddess, you grant us all pleasures and enjoyment in this lifetime as well as show us the path to salvation or liberation.
13. Mother of the earth, one who protects all sentient and insentient projections of Nature, as Goddess Bhuvaneshwari.
14. Goddess who has created this entire Universe of living beings; one who protects this world and inhabitants; one possessed with unique powers and siddhis.
15. Oh Mother of this earth, adorned in brilliant jewelry, we worship you as Raja Rajeshwari or the supreme deity.
16. Oh dearest little child, our precious one. You have completely enslaved us with your bonds of love.
17. Oh powerful one, you will never forsake us in this birth or at death.
18. Great Goddess who imparts the true goal of life to us.
19. Goddess who is above all the five elements. You protect and safeguard us before birth, at the time of birth and during our lifetime.
20. At the end of our sojourn in life, you embrace us so affectionately on your lap and envelop us in a state of no fear. Oh Goddess, who is the rarest and most valuable bond in our lives.
Section 16.
Syllable “SHREEM”
1. I bow with deepest reverence to Goddess Lalitha, the enchantress of three worlds, uttering the syllables “Om, Shreem, Hreem”.
2. I surrender completely at the sacred feet of Sri Bala, the Child goddess, the giver of all prosperity, most auspicious one, the smallest of all goddesses, yet the most powerful. “Om , Shreem, Hreem”.
3. My deepest respects to Goddess Kali, who is black and fearsome, who indicates the passage of time and symbolizes the death of the ego. I bow down to my sweet Mother Tara, who like a star, guides us on the spiritual path. “Om Shreem, Hreem”.
4. I offer my most intense prayers at the feet of all the deities symbolizing intelligence, discrimination, detachment, love and wisdom. I surrender at the feet of Goddess Saraswathi, Shyamalaa (dark hued Goddess ruling over intellect and music) and Goddess Raja Mathangi, who symbolizes the power of the spoken word (Vaikhari). “Om Shreem, Hreem”.
